Random Bengali Film Minimalist Posters

However, still, there are a lot more Bengali Films that I haven't yet categorized, as they come from different directors, of different time periods and represent different genres.
So, here are some of them...

1. Antaheen,   Aniruddha Roychowdhury Film

There had been instances, which Brinda mentioned to Abhik, over chat, that reckons Abhik afterwards and makes him understand that it was she, with whom he used to chat.

Ya. A bit too glossy film; it is Aniruddha Roychowdhury's signature, with the over sophisticated characters... but the mention of the red kite with a blue tail, or the self portrait of Freida Kahlo provided me with ample materials to make some minimalist posters of the film Antaheen.

2. Chalo Let's Go; directed by Anjan Dutta

I fell in love with these two characters; those of Arindam Sil and Rudranil !

Arindam Sil's character had a strange profession Madam Crackerology, to be simple MEYEBAJI !
 "Paach bar prem korli,
paach bar lyang kheli !"

Then ultimately got married to Ria !

3. Bhooter Bhobishyot, directed by Anik Dutta

4. Bapi Bari Jaa, directed by Sudeshna- Abhijeet

5. Muktadhara, directed by Shibiprosad-Nandita

6. Rangmilanti , directed by Kaushik Ganguly

7. Golpo Holeo Sotyi (2014), directed by Birsa Dasgupta

8. The Japanese Wife, directed by Aparna Sen

Srijit Mukherji Bengali Movie Minimalist Poster

Srijit Mukherji is no Satyajit Ray nor Ritwik Ghatak. Even it will be an exaggeration if we compare him with Rituparno Ghosh. Still i focused on making Minimalist Posters of his films, because of the reasons easily guessed. Firstly, the narrative story line of his films has several, or i would rather say, numerous signature objects, situations or characters. Secondly, gaining a dazzling popularity in contemporary, it's quite easy to relate with the mass, with Minimalist Posters of his films.

  1. Minimalist Poster of AUTOGRAPH

Yes. She used to rehearse in front of the Handycam, and it kept on rolling when Arun Chatterjee, Mr Industry, started confessing about the darkest secrets of his life. The private confessions did get recorded !

2. Minimalist Poster of BAISHE SRABON

There had been a very favourite scene in the film, Prabir offering Whiskey to Pakrashi. Howeve when Pakrashi denies, with a terrific comic timing Prasenjit (Prabir) throws a second option.. "Bournvita?"

I don't think so..

After a long time, Swastika meets Jisshu. And his thought makes her stuck for an unnecessary pause, while surfing on a regional Gujrati channel, with a TV remote in her hand.

No. Google Translate cannot translate Heiroglyphics to English.
But doesn't it unfurl the entire idea of the film ?

Minimal Posters of Rituparno Ghosh films

Rituparno Ghosh films deal basically with the intense part of the psychology, a bit effeminative; what specifically attracted me was his use of sharp dialogues assigned for the film characters.
However, all these psycho-philosophies are not quite easy to be depicted through a minimal poster. Minimalist Posters require a blatant signature object or a character imposed and glorified abruptly yet significantly. In spite of the emphasis over the Human drama, Rituparno's films were not devoid of all these. Being a fascinating story teller, his films had several layers, characters, a variety as a whole...

So, watching some of his films over and over again, i managed to build up some of the Minimalist Posters.

1. Mimimalist Poster of Shubho Muharat

Well, it does not actually follows the norms of a Minimalist Poster. However those who have watched the film can recall the scene, where several portrait photographs of Nandita Das were hung in Anindya's room. And Anindya, though being in love for her, brings up a stern in his voice, when Nandita tries to touch one of those photographs, "Chhobi ta aami tulechhi!". Perhaps that was the only instance when the character of Anindya sheds off his introvert cocoon, and from his ever defeated tragic fate, he stands apart and shows condifidence of his own credentials.

This is quite simple. The daily life of Ranga Pisima involves largely the caring and looking after the cat Haridasi(whom she claims to be her daughter). Even the optimist philosophy of the storyline, to go above the petty issues of vendetta and revenge, comes from the idea that Ranga Pisima understood, after Haridasi's kittens died last year.

Jibono Moroner Simana Chharaye
Bondho Hey Amaar Royechho Daraye..

the Rabindrasangeet was used to depict death and immortality in the film. The killer played the song over t
elephone, after the victim died!

2. Minimal Poster of
 Dosar (The Companion)

This one is quite simple.
The car accident shatters the married life of a couple, revealing the secrets of an extra marital affair.
The film was shot entirely in Black n White, thus so is the Poster!

5. Minimalist Poster of The Last Lear

A strange substiute for a calling bell definitely stands out as a signature instance of the film.

6. Minimalist Poster of Abahaman

It was detected during the editting, that the heroine winked at the camera, during a shot.

7. Minimalist Poster of Bariwali

bengali film minimalist poster of Bariwali

Honestly, I found it difficult to make a Minimalist Poster out of an intense film like Bariwali (The Lady of the House). However after watching the movie a several times, two ideas stuck upon me. One was something related to Manasa Mangal Kabya, as the film emphasized several situations, glorifying the similarity between the lives of the protagonist lady and the epical character of Behula.
The another idea was the epiphany of the ceiling fan, getting fused off, whenever a change is about to usher in the house.

And then here is a special kind of Minimal Posters, which I like to term "Media Minimalist Posters."
The mention of the impact, use and relevance of Social Communicative Medias has come repeatetively  itn Ghosh's film.. And so I thought why not exploit this concept as Minimalist Poster Ideas..!
